Why did I choose Media?

Last year was the first time we ever had  Media Studies. I was very excited about getting to know the subject, though when we first started I didn't like it much. Classes were too superficial and the mood wasn't the best (the fact that it was in the first two periods of wednesday mornings didn't help either). However, as months went by, my perspective towards the subject started to slowly change and meet closer to the expectations I originally had. This new motivation started mostly when we begun to work on actual projects instead of being all about theory. I discovered a new passion for cinema. I loved the idea of being able to tell stories from different perspectives that have a meaning. There was so much space for imagination and personalization. I became fascinated about how every single detail and placement has a purpose and everything is cautiously planned.
So, when I heard that we were given Media Studies as an AS choice, I had no doubt I wanted to sit for it. Because I knew this was going to be a journey I would actually enjoy and have motivation to work on, rather than having to study about something I am not interested in at all. It exited me the idea that I can put my own touch into this work and create something that I will likely be proud of.
